Hey there, I´m Lauren Lomsdale

I’VE WORKED WITH HUNDREDS OF SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS IN THEIR QUEST FOR FREEDOM IN THEIR BUSINESS SO THEY CAN LIVE THEIR LIVES. 

I have been in the digital media space for over 10 years. I have worked as a freelance writer, editor, photographer, video editor, and web designer. My portfolio includes work with Military Spouse Magazine, Military Families Magazine, Homefront United, United Through Reading, Pink Fortitude, Daily Mom, and Daily Mom Military. 

 Aura Digital Consulting has continued to grow since it’s inception in 2021, and we have served clients all over the world for their branding, website, email marketing, social media, and digital media design needs. 

I am a military spouse who is currently living in Okinawa, Japan with my Marine Corps husband and three daughters. I am an avid fitness lover and coffee lover. You can often find me sitting on my front porch swing with an iced coffee in hand and my laptop in my lap.

I AM A HEALTH AND WELLNESS LOVER

I have run two marathons, countless half marathons, and I currently am strongly invested in strength training and yoga. I strive to get 12k steps per day and you’ll often find me sipping lemon tea.

MY STORY

Where it all began and how it´s going now

2015: Learning by experience

In 2015, I joined the team at Daily Mom. It is with Elena Ollick, the owner of Daily Mom, with whom I learned the bulk of my skills in freelance writing, photography, web design, email marketing, and social media mangaement. 

2020: Professional Editing

In mid-2020, I was hired as the digital editor for a large military family publication. Toxic leadership made me realize that working for someone else was not what I wanted, and I felt my creative expertise was not being fully utilized. 

2011: My first daughter was born, and I stopped working.

I have my Masters in Education, but when my first daughter was born, I decided to stop working. This is when I started to look into the online and remote world for opportunities to work from home. At the time, there wasn’t much available for military spouses like me. 

2017: Launched my first website

In 2017 I launched my first publication, Daily Mom Military, a sister site of Daily Mom. This was my first experience in hiring military spouses as writers, and I was hooked! I knew I wanted to provide military spouses with valuabl careers from here on out. 

2022: Launched Aura Digital

In 2022, after freelancing with several publications and companies, I started Aura Digital Consulting. In just a year’s time, we have grown to a boutique agency with over 10 employees.
