We are getting ready to hit Back to School season. Is your brand ready?!

For many brands and niches, this can be a great opportunity to push and promote your products or services even if your demographic isn’t focused on moms or kids.

Here’s some ideas on how you can do that:

Coaches or consultants:

  • Offer a fall strategy session or business reset intensive.
  • Create a “What needs to change before Q4?” assessment.
  • Share a back-to-school-style checklist for business owners.
  • Run a “Business Basics” educational series covering foundational topics.

Marketers:

  • Grade websites, social profiles, email funnels, or brand messaging.
  • Offer a back-to-school marketing audit.
  • Share “What belongs in your marketing backpack?” with tools, assets, and systems.

Educators or education sector:

  • Promote tutoring, curriculum, professional development, or educational consulting.
  • Share teacher encouragement and relatable back-to-school content.
  • Partner with local schools, parent groups, homeschool groups, or libraries.

Authors and Illustrators:

  • Create teacher guides or classroom activities connected to a book.
  • Offer virtual or in-person school visits.
  • Promote classroom sets or educator discounts.
  • Share read-aloud videos or behind-the-scenes illustration content.

Non-Profits:

  • Launch a “Start the Year Strong” fundraising campaign.
  • Partner with schools or local businesses for a community campaign.
  • Highlight the hidden costs families face during back-to-school season.

Retail/Products:

  • Partner with a local school or nonprofit for a donation campaign.
  • Offer a purchase incentive tied to school supply donations.
  • Promote personalization, such as names on bags, bottles, labels, or clothing.
  • Create urgency with limited-edition fall products or seasonal bundles.

All of these are great ways to tie in the back-to-school season for your brand but if you need some other ideas or help with curating social content, reply to this email and we can work together.

Trending socials

Here are some trending social content for this week that you can try:

Superhero Moment:

You sitting on a “plane” (just a regular chair is fine) with the copy “Flight Attendant: Help! Is there anyone who can XYZ (what you do/provide/sell)!” You slowly raise your hand. Use with Superhero or Superman audio

WTH/WTF is:

For this trend, you will say things you or your niche doesn’t experience. This can be done with an image carousel or just text on a graphic. This should be funny and relatable! For example, in marketing we might say:

– WTH is 30 hashtags

– WTH is no visual hook

– WTH is free time

– WTH is not recording every moment of our day for “content”

No offense but the algorithm:

This is a forward facing reel. You will have your phone in a static place, and walk towards it or into frame and say “No offense but the algorithm thinks you are *your ideal client.* Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. But follow me” and walk away from the camera. This is great to hook clients in and if they relate, they’ll give you a follow!
