Our team at Aura Digital has been working on something for a couple of months now and I am so excited to share it with you now that it has gone live!
Juno in the Lab™ is a story series created by Dr. Holly Trisch, a civil engineer turned children’s author and educational consultant, to help bring engineering and STEM into the homes of young children. She does this all with her own curious Labrador Retriever named Juno.
Holly came to us looking for help in getting her brand started. She had a vision in mind- to have a place where people could connect with her as a professional consultant but also showcase her main product and project- Juno in the Lab™ story and educational engineering resources.
This was a large scale project, and we were pretty much starting from the ground up outside of her book and illustrations from her illustrator.
Holly had a logo she wanted to keep, but after our consultation we decided to move forward with a web design, social media for 6 weeks (which was then extended to 8 weeks), and email marketing.
Web Design
The first task at hand was to start the website. We needed to capture the professional consultation and educational curriculum expert side of things, while maintaining a focus of Juno in the Lab™ . The strategy here is to begin to position herself as a leader and expert in the field of early childhood STEM education through literacy but really focus on the first phase of her brand, which is her book, educational resources, and support for homeschool families. Here’s a look into the website:

Social Media
While we worked on the website, we also had our team working on social media content. The goal of our strategy for this first phase of content was to utilize the one member of Holly’s team that would really bring in widespread engagement- Juno. Juno is a sweet chocolate lab, and we knew we could use her for some fun, scripted content that would bring in engagement and followers. We focused quite a bit on creating content that would allow followers to join Juno on some engineering adventures as well as just showcase Juno being Juno. Of course, we added content and call to actions to direct people to Juno in the Lab™ and the resources Holly is providing as well.
This took alot of content creation on Holly and Juno’s part, but with strong scripted content provided to them, Holly was able to film and Madison, our graphic designer and social media expert, was able to edit into some amazing pieces of work.
Holly’s platforms are currently TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube and while all the content is the same for right now as we build brand awareness, but the strategy will change as she grows:
– TikTok- this will become a fun, engaging platform that will show Juno’s adventures as well as more parent-engaging content.
– Instagram- this will slowly rotate into the more educational piece of Holly’s content, bringing in homeschool resources and classroom resources.
-YouTube- This will be heavily focused on Juno and her adventures with the target audience being YouTube Shorts for kids.
– Facebook- This will reflect much of what Instagram will be showcasing. Here’s one of our favorite reels of Juno’s adventures:
We did all the social media content curation in a short period of time because Juno is a military dog (kid?). Her family was moving from Spain back to the United States, so we had to curate and film all of Juno’s adventures in about 8 weeks before she made her flight home!
Email Marketing
Another huge pull for Holly and her brand was email marketing. Email marketing is still one of my favorite ways to bring in leads for brands and organizations, and luckily for us, creating some lead magnets and funnels was pretty well-defined given our target demographic. Our target demo for Holly’s email marketing is broken into a couple of different niches: parents, homeschool parents, and educators. Our main focus right now is parents and homeschool parents, so that is where our strategy for email marketing came in.

We started off by creating some fun resources for parents and kids connected to Juno in the Lab™ like coloring pages, family discussion guides, seek-and-find, and more. Each of those resources was connected to a lead magnet which then leads them into a sales funnel. We created a pre-launch and post-launch sales funnel to lead the subscribers into purchasing the book and/or signing up for an educational unit purchase called Juno Investigates™. We also created post-purchase emails for her book pre-order, live book orders, and resource purchase orders.

Designs and E-Commerce
As we worked together, we also worked with Holly to design some of her engineering resources that will become live later this year. Holly provided our team the concepts and then we designed the PDF downloads that will become her Mystery Missions™, Engineering Decisions™, and the bundled educational unit of Juno Investigates™. We also created all of her e-commerce products in Woocommerce to include her book sales connected to print-on-demand services, and all her educational resources.
We have been working on this project since April and we are so very excited to see it finally come to fruition. We absolutely cannot wait to see where this project takes Holly and we fully believe in her and her success to bring engineering to young children through literacy. Please give Holly and Juno a follow and stick around to see what adventures Juno has in store!
